History

In 1986, Mr. S.K. Beri’s son, Mr. Atul Beri, a recently graduated mechanical engineer, founded D.B. Engineering Pvt. Ltd. with an export-oriented outlook to manufacture world-class industrial knives with the latest technology of the time. The first breakthrough of the company was the development of Bi-Metal/Inlaid Paper Cutting Knives that took the Indian market by storm which was then dominated by imports from Europe at the time. As our knives started gaining recognition in the Indian industry, they very soon found their way to OEM’s and users across Europe. As the company continued to expand in the 90’s, it also entered into the Sheet Metal Industry and started catering to a large number of coil manufactures and steel sheet service centers across India and abroad. As a result of continued customer service and product excellence coupled with business innovations, D.B. Engineering Pvt. Ltd. soon became a powerhouse in size reduction applications across verticals. 

In 2014, Mr. Nakul Beri entered the family owned business after completing his Bachelors in Industrial Engineering from Cornell University, USA. Over the years, he was trained in many aspects of the of the business, and in 2017 he decided to venture out to build a company focussed on customer satisfaction, superior quality and on-time delivery targeting OEM’s, knife resellers and users across the globe. A dedicated team of engineers, metallurgists and industry experts continue to innovate and support AE’s customers globally and propel the company to become a market leader in the industry.
